Visiting the Curonian Spit on a Rainy Day

I was feeling so tired the night before our trip to Curonian Spit. It was already late when we arrived Klaipeda. I even had a sea sickness while we boarded the ship from Kiel, Germany to Klaipeda, Lithuania. It was a long trip at the sea.  The day before our trip, I only had two days rest because I just came back from a one month vacation in the United States that time. It was September 2012 when I first had a mini-cruise trip to the Baltics.

It was already late at night when we arrived Klaipeda the next day. I am still thankful because we arrived there safely. We stayed in a Park Inn Radisson Hotel by Klaipeda. After putting our luggage in our hotel room, dinner was already waiting for us. I was very tired that time because of lack of sleep and rest.

The Curonian Spit in Lithuania during our visit almost a year ago, September 2012.

“The Curonian Spit stretches from the Sambian Peninsula on the south to its northern tip next to a narrow strait, across which is the port city of Klaipėda on the mainland of Lithuania. The northern 52 km long stretch of the Curonian Spit peninsula belongs to Lithuania, while the rest is part of the Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. The width of the spit varies from a minimum of 400 m in Russia (near the village of Lesnoy) to a maximum of 3,800 m in Lithuania (just north of Nida).”

I Love Bavaria!

Bavaria is truly beautiful! I have been to many places and cities in Europe but I could still say, this region is one of the most beautiful one I visited. Known as Bayern in Germany, it is one of the 16 states in Germany and the largest state by area. It is one of the oldest states of Europe and is truly worth to visit.

Calella By Night

I can feel the September weather! Yes, the beginning of the BER months is finally here! I can feel it when the temperature during the night gets a bit chilly. Don’t forget to bring your jacket if you are going out during the night. In the Northern hemisphere, the beginning of the meteorological autumn is on the 1st of September. This is maybe the reason why it gets  a bit colder because summer is almost ending and fall or autumn is about to begin!

Let’s go back to Calella now! Its been over a year since I visited this famous seaside town located on the Costa del Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. I was invited by friends to have a trip to Catalonia last summer 2012. Since Barcelona was included in that 4-days trip, I decided to joined them.

Although I already visited Las Vegas twice, I still want to go back to this city. For all you know, it is the so-called “Gaming and Entertainment of the World”. Imagine visiting Las Vegas one day? i just wonder how this desert turned into a fabulous place!

There are tons of entertainment in Las Vegas. I love watching live bands who perform in many luxury hotels in this city. There are also a lot of free shows you can experience there.

Just Some Snapshots from Ephesus, Turkey

Thanks to an online friend who inspired me to visit the ancient Greek city of Ephesus. Later, it became a major Roman  city on the Ionian coast according to history. Now, it is in Selçuk, Izmir Province, Turkey. I hope this is not quite complicated. Thanks to our Turkish tour guide who speaks very good German and explained to us the history of Ephesus.

Friends Are Going Back to the US!

This is life sometimes! People come and go but it is quite sad when good friends are leaving. Distance don’t matter in friendship anyway. Even if you are thousands miles away from each other, true friendship will always remain.

I met good friends in our area. Since we live near the US base, many US soldiers and their family are stationed here. Some of them stay for around 3 years, some are extended for longer stay and some are only station for a short time. (more…)

The Beautiful Scenery in Kastelruth, Italy

I was happy and at the same time sad during the trip we had in Italy, Austria and Switzerland last June 2013. I was happy because I was able to witness the beautiful scenery in Kastelruth. This municipality, also known as Castelrotto in Italian is located in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is not so far in Bolzano, around 20 km.

Euro Disney: One of The Best Days Out In Paris

Disneyland Paris is a collection of amazing theme parks, including Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios, Disney Village, several themed hotels and Golf Disneyland. It has been one of the most popular tourist destinations for decades now, and the fact that is so close to the city centre – around 32 kilometres outside Paris – makes it very easily accessible.

As a holiday destination, Disneyland can be a great adventure for people of all ages. However, without proper preparation you can find that you will be under a lot of stress rather than enjoying yourself. This is a guide on how to get the most out of your holiday and make sure it is not ruined.
