He was born in Eisenach, Saxe-Eisenach, on 21 March 1685. He was the son of Johann Ambrosius Bach, the director of the town musicians, and Maria Elisabeth Lämmerhirt.

I guess, it is throwback Wednesday today. How I miss England and I wish, I am there at the moment. Sad to say, I also have other travel priorities this time and I believed it is the right decision I did now.
I was lucky enough to watch the Lord Mayor’s Show during my visit in London for over five years now. Thanks to dear friends for bringing me there. I am truly grateful!
Musicians at the Lord Mayor’s Show in London
The Lord Mayor’s Show is one of the best-known yearly events in London. It was raining during our visit, typical England weather during autumn or fall season. I did not worry about it because I am a full-geared traveler with all my gadgets with me including umbrella, good shoes and winter jacket, especially when traveling during winter season. (more…)

I am indeed a happy traveler. After visiting so many countries and cities last year, I can say probably it is enough for me this year. Good to know, there will be more travels to come this year. It might not be the same as last year but I am thankful to be visiting some more places and countries.
I have a lot of travels to share but my busy schedules always hindered me from sharing it on time. lolz! Let me go back about my trip to Finland’s capital. It was summer last year when we visited Helsinki. It was a cruise holiday in the Baltic and Scandinavian region. We visited four cities and countries including Stockholm in Sweden, St. Petersburg in Russia, Tallinn in Estonia, and last but not the least Helsinki, Finland.

It seems that I haven’t been for a night-out over a year ago. While browsing the albums in my external hard drive last night looking for some pictures of my friends, I did browsed one of the albums and found some images taken when we went to Funpark last 2012.
One of the bars at the Funpark in Regensburg, Germany.
The Funpark in Regensburg has bars and discotheques. As far as I can remember, I only visited this place 4 times since 2008. My last visit was in July 2012. There are three disco rooms in Funpark. Each room plays different music. It depends on the type of music you want, then you can choose which room to go. (more…)

I was so excited that time because I can finally witness a Venetian carnival. It was not in Venice but it was in a Bavarian city named Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German). I have been to Venice five times already but never experience the carnival event.
The Venetian carnival parade in Nuremberg, Germany last May 2011.
We took the train in going to Nuremberg and when we arrived there, there was indeed a Venetian carnival. I expected it to be a big event but it was not. Inspite of that, I still enjoyed the little carnival parade they had. What I love most are the beautiful costumes of the Venetian carnival. (more…)

Many people are put off eating out, as they associate it with spending a lot of money. However, dining out at a restaurant needn’t be an expensive outing. There are plenty of ways in which you can save money when eating out. Here are a few suggestions:
Restaurant selection
The amount you spend will obviously depend on which restaurant you opt for. Cheap restaurants don’t necessarily provide lower quality food, and there are many gems to be found in every city. Look out for small foreign businesses, cooking simple dishes at great rates. Many curry houses have a bring your own beer policy too, meaning you can buy cheap alcohol from elsewhere. Some websites also let you order from these restaurants using credit cards online. (more…)
