Our Breakfast in San Anton, Granada

This is one thing I love when I travel. There are always a lot of food. I always see to it that when I book a certain trip, breakfast and dinner are already included. That’s what had happened in most of my trips. Buffet is not really good for me because I am trying to lose weight. Sad to say, I can’t resist the many kinds of foods in front of me. That is one of my weaknesses which I am trying to fight and resist.

Without further adieu, I would love to share this food photo from our 4-star hotel in Granada, Spain. We stayed at San Anton Granada. These are only some of the foods served during breakfast. There are still a lot in the other tables..lol! As the saying goes, you can eat a lot during breakfast to have more energy during the whole day. Am I right peeps??

FOORD TRIP FRIDAY”

Pork BBQ with Rice and Noodles at the Floating Restaurant in Bohol

It was two ago since my last vacation in the Philippines. I did visited some places including a trip to the island of Bohol in Central Visayan region in the Philippines. Finally during my second visit that time, I already had the chance to have a cruise in Loboc River in this area. Included in the cruise is a buffet in that so-called floating restaurant.

I was a wonderful experience seeing my home country again. I love Philippines!

Seafoods in San Remo’s Restaurant

Have a blessed New Year 2012 and a happy first Friday of the year! How’s your first week of the year? I hope everyone is having a good time. It’s been over a month since I did not participated in some of my fave memes. The holidays was quite busy and I was also away for a short holiday in Spain. I love that country and I can’t still get it out of my mind. I have been to the different cities and countries in Europe but Spain I believed is my most favorite one.

Back to the main topic. Let me share this plate of seafoods which I ordered in a restaurant in San Remo, Italy. I love ti so much because it really tasted so good! I love seafoods anyway and if I only have a choice I always want to eat it everyday. Sad to say, I cannot have fresh ones but only frozen ones. Together with vegetable salad, sweets, wine and a softdrink plus this plate of seasfoods, we pain 15.00 Euros for it. I find the price not so expensive because you already have everything on it.

Have a Happy and Healthy New Year 2012!

2011 is almost over
and another year is about to come!
Just wishing everyone a
Happy and Healthier
NEW YEAR 2012..
more blessing and good health are all my wishes to all!
God bless us!

New Year’s eve is like every other night;
there is no pause in the march of the universe,
no breathless moment of silence among created things
that the passage of another twelve months may be noted;
and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening
that come with the coming of darkness on other nights.

Aiming for A Healthier and Slimmer 2012

Parties here and there for the past days! This is one thing we cannot avoid during Christmas season. It is still not over because there will be more parties and celebrations before year 2011 ends. I am quite serious with one of my new year’s resolution which is to lose weight starting next year. In short, I am aiming for a healthier and slimmer body starting 2012. I just want to stay fit and healthy both physically and mentally to live a better life.

There are a lot of measures and things to do on how to lose weight. I had done this before but I was just not so serious in doing it. This time I made up my mind and really want to get rid of my extra pounds. Here are some measures I would want to do to have a healthier and slimmer me in 2012.

Never Skip Meals

This is one of my mistakes. I skip meals sometimes trying to think that by not eating or skipping a meal, I will no longer gain more weight. It is recommended for those who want to lose weight to eat small meals six times a day. This would help keep our metabolism ticking over. This would mean that I have to eat small and healthy meals every three hours.

Eat Healthy Which Means More Fruits and Vegetables

I am very sure that this will be included in my daily meals. In fact I am already starting it for the past two weeks. It just happened that I was not able to avoid the delicious food served during the holiday season. Fruits and vegetables are full of nutrients, vitamins and minerals which are always good for the body. I am very sure that I will always include it in my diet. I always love eating fruits and veggies!

Avoid Soft drinks But Drink More Water Instead

Softdrinks, also called as sodas, pop or tonic are not really good because they contain sweetener and flavoring agent. It is advisable to always sip on water. Another thing we have to know is, slight dehydration will slow your metabolism. Thus, we have to make sure that we always have a sip of water throughout the day. In addition to this, I would also want to keep my 1-2 glasses of green tea everyday.

More Exercise

This is one of the best ways to keep our body fit, flexible and healthy. I promise myself to do more walking and exercise next year. An hour walk a day is also good for the heart. I also want to hit the gym or do Zumba as my exercise.

More Discipline and Motivation

I know these are the two things that I need to maintain. I need to have more discipline and motivation in myself. Having such attitudes will surely help me succeed in my plan of losing weight.

I believed it is still not too late. This is actually the reason why I created this blog to monitor myself, my health, proper nutrition and also proper choice of food. This time I want to achieve this goal. I also want to keep a list and plan in reaching my goal which is a healthier and slimmer me in 2012. This is my decision and I want to succeed this time.

I wish everyone in advance a happy and a healthier 2012!

Memorable Christmas 2011

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. This is the time where we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration.

It was again another wonderful and memorable celebration of the Christmas holiday. Although I am thousands of miles away from home, I am very thankful for celebrating it with my dearest family and friends in my new home in Europe. I had a great time with friends last Christmas Eve. Lots of food were served. Everyone had fun singing, drinking, joking, opening their gifts, chitchatting and of course eating. Thanks to a friend and her family for hosting it. Thanks to all friends for their Christmas greetings, gifts and wishes.

Things to Experience During Your Bali Holiday

This is the best time of the year to escape the cold winter in Europe. A holiday somewhere in the tropical region of the planet is a perfect destination. There are actually a lot of choices. If I am given the chance to travel again this winter, I would surely choose an island in Indonesia and Bali is my place to be. With its cultural, historical and archaeological attractions, for sure it will be an interesting place to visit. I need to slowly browse and find one of the best and cheapest Bali holiday packages in the net. A little planning for this trip would surely turn out to be a great journey.

Here are some of the things I would love to see and experience in this beautiful island of Indonesia.

Go to the Beach– This is one thing I miss, the beach. Bali’s rugged coastlines and sandy beaches are only some of the reasons why Bali is visited a lot of tourists from around the world every year. Beaches that are especially safe for swimming include Jimbaran Bay and virtually all of the north coast. If you wish to go swimming be sure to obey the local swimming safety markers. Many visitors to Bali got drown each year for ignoring these safety precautions.

Taste Balinese Food– This is one of the things that is always included in my itinerary every time I travel. Tasting the local delicacies is always a must for me. I would love to try Nasi goreng, Mei Goring and Nasi campur. I had eaten some of these food in Europe but I guess tasting the ones original from Bali is a unique experience.

a Temple in Indonesia during my friend’s visit there 2 years ago.

See The Temples– A visit to Bali without seeing its temples makes your holiday incomplete. Don’t you know that Bali’s famous attractions are its countless Hindu temples.

I was informed that to enter any temple you must be appropriately dressed with a sarong and sash. These are always available for rental at the large temples but I guess I am buying one when I arrive there.

Learn and Play Golf– Of all the many outdoor activities, I am choosing to play golf when I visit Bali in the future. A plan of taking a golf course in one of its Top 5 golf courses would be an awesome experience.

Witness a Wedding in Bali– I heard that weddings in Bali have become very popular in recent years. Many couples choose this place for their wedding ceremony or for renewing their vows. There are a lot of wedding professional organizers available in this island. Ceremony arrangements, photography, videography, flowers, musicians, dancers and catering are among the organising services available for your wedding.

Water Activities like surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and white-water rafting are very well-known in Bali. With its warm waters, cheap living and reliable waves help keep Bali near the top of world surfing destinations.

Thanksgiving Banquet

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration we had yesterday. Thanks to our friend Ge and family for the letting us join and partake the Thanksgiving banquet. All the foods on the table were delicious. It was nice again seeing friends that night.

“We thank you dear Lord for everything.
For the all the blessings and the graces
you had bestowed us.
For the beautiful memories, warm gatherings,
love of family and friends.
And most of all for the precious gift of life.
We are grateful for everything you had given us.”

Belated Thanksgiving Day to all!

Our thanksgiving food include roasted Turkey, ham, empanada, chicken salad, stuffing, pumpkin cake, cheese cake, Ginataan, bread, biko, potato salad, ribs bbq, smashed potato…..what else? It seems that I don’t remember everything huh? Everything was yummy that I forgot my diet..Opps whose on diet anyway?

Have a lovely week in advance.
