See You Soon Again Venice
Two more sleeps and my first travel for this year will commence. Thanks to this very cheap trip I booked from last year. It was indeed a great deal. I am a cheap traveler and I always find cheap trips anywhere especially in Europe. Wanna bet with me in terms of finding cheap trips? Just kidding folks!
Cruising at the canals of Venice during my last travel in summer 2011 with friends. Thanks to good friends for sponsoring this travel. lolz! Please remember Venice is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I am heading again to Italy this time. One of the places that is included in the itinerary is Venice. This will be my fifth time visiting this lovely capital of the Veneto region in Italy. Although I was in Venice for a lot of times, I never get enough of the city. There are still so many things I want to see and experience there. Here are some it;
- Climb the Campanile
- Visit one of its museums like the Correr Museum and the Doge Palace.
- Window shopping at the Rialto market. We were always in a hurry during my a previous visits and I was not able to look around in this area.
- Look at the interior of San Giacomo di Rialto, the said to be oldest church in Venice.
- Take a good photo of the Rialto Bridge, one of the most iconic symbols of Venice.
- Visit the Scuola grande di San Rocco, a masterpiece of Tintoretto. This guild house is an exquisite example of Manierist art in its best.
- Sit down in one of its restaurants and eat pizza.
There are still a lot of things to see and experience in Venice. I hope I can explore more of it this time. Aside from Venice, we will also be traveling other places in Italy like Florence (my 2nd time this time), Assisi, Perugia, Rimini, Santarcangelo di Romagna and the third smallest state in Europe which is San Marino. We also had 2 free days and for these we are planning to visit Bologna and Ravenna or Ancona.
God bless our trip!
