The Venetian Carnival in Nuremberg

I was so excited that time because I can finally witness a Venetian carnival. It was not in Venice but it was in a Bavarian city named Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German). I have been to Venice five times already but never experience the carnival event.

The Venetian carnival parade in Nuremberg, Germany last May 2011.

We took the train in going to Nuremberg and when we arrived there, there was indeed a Venetian carnival. I expected it to be a big event but it was not. Inspite of that, I still enjoyed the little carnival parade they had. What I love most are the beautiful costumes of the Venetian carnival.

That week, it was also their so-called Venetian week. There were a lot of street performers like singers and dancers, musicians who played guitars and even a live band. I was wondering if any of the musicians was using a good fender telecaster because I know musicians in Germany have the best musical instruments.

There was a Venetian market  or I would say Italian market that time. There were stalls and kiosks where you can find a lot  of Italian products. I am glad that I witnessed that event once and did experienced the interesting costumes.

I always enjoy visiting Nuremberg  anytime of the year. I am planning to go back their again next month. Cheers!
