Who Went Shopping in Milan?
Milan, one of the many destinations I wish to experience in Italy. It did finally happened last spring season. Oh well, not really spring when I visited Milan but it was still winter time because I went there last March of this year. The weather was still cold that time but very better than the weather in Germany.
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy.
Milan is not only a tourist destination but it is also the main industrial, commercial and financial centre of Italy. No wonder, it is visited by millions of tourists from all corners of the globe all year round. Don’t forget Milan is one of the world’s fashion capital. It is also well known for several international events and fairs, including Milan Fashion Week and the Milan Furniture Fair, the largest of its kind in the world.
The question is, did I really go shopping in this city? I want to find a jewelry store in Milan and look for class rings but since my time was so limited, I was not able to do it.
The highlight of my visit in Milan was meeting my former schoolmate. She gave me a shopping tip, the next time I will visit Milan. She said that around the first week of January each year, there is this so-called “Big Sale” and a lot of luxury stores and shops are putting their items on sale. That is quite a very interesting shopping tip. She brought me in Galleria Vittorio Emaneule II, one of the world’s oldest shopping malls. I just said, WOW! this place is amazing. Sad to say, shopping for luxury items is not in my budget and itinerary. haha!
I ma happy to bring home with me some postcards, fridge magnets, Milan travel guide and shotglasses. These are usually the travel souvenirs I am collection everytime I visit a certain place or city.
If I win in lottery, I will surely go for luxury shopping in this fashion capital! Wish me lots of luck!
