A Wonderful Day in Menton, France
I always love travelling back in time especially when I look at the photos I took from my previous travels. Every travel is unique. There are always varied experiences. You learn some things in every travel. You get to know different people travelling with you.

With the many travels I had from the past and having visited over 30 countries, meeting people from all walks of life, young and old, men or women, rich or poor, every travel is simply unique on its own. I already experienced a lot and there are many things I learned from it.
So, let’s go back to Menton before I sign-off. This French town is located in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France. I had the chance to visit there last spring 2011. It was just a short visit for around 3 hours. Not really enough to see and experience everything but I am still glad to be there. It was so far a wonderful day I had in Menton with friends.

Here are information about Menton;
It is nicknamed the Pearl of France, is located on the Mediterranean Sea at the Franco-Italian border, just across from the Liguran town of Ventimiglia. It boasts a warm micro-climate favorable to lemon, tangerine, and orange groves whence one of the town’s symbols, the lemon.
Menton is famous for its gardens, including the Jardin Serre de la Madone, the Jardin botanique exotique de Menton (“Le Val Rahmeh”), the Fontana Rosa, and the Maria Serena garden.
The baroque basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange, with its belltower, was built in 1619 by the Genoese architect Lorenzo Lavagna.
The Menton area has been inhabited since the paleolithic era, and is the site of the original “Grimaldi Man” find of early modern humans, as well as remains of Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons.
