A Beautiful Day in Parco Delle Camelie in Locarno, Switzerland
It was still a bit cold during our visit but we had a blue sky and the sun was shining. It was indeed a perfect day visiting this park in Locarno. The temperature reached up to 15 degree Celsius that day. Our bus arrived at 12:05 PM and we were given around two hours to go around the park. The Park is called Parco Delle Camelie Locarno, simply known as the Camellia Park.
I enjoyed walking around the area since I am also a flower or plant-lover. I simply love gardening and it was one of the reasons why I booked this trip, to visit this beautiful garden park. After our visit in this park, we were also given the chance to visit Locarno city. More updates to come soon!

The largest flowerbed of the park, dedicated to perfumed species and camellias, has been created next to the amphitheatre, which will enable visitors to sit in the most panoramic point of the area. From the top a small stream runs down to feed the new pond, whose waters reflect an elegant pavilion.

The latter houses a series of information panels on camellias. Today, with the work almost finished, the Park is home to 850 varieties of catalogued camellias including about forty different species and ten perfumed hybrids.
