Lot of Food in our Hotel in Sarimsakli, Turkey

This is one thing I love when I travel, tasting the food in other places and countries. During our 10-day vacation in Turkey last 2011, we did some overnights in one of the 4-star hotels in Sarimsakli. It is a town in the Ayvalik District of Balikesir Province in Western Turkey. The town’s name means “land of garlic” in reference to the region’s considerable production of the Alliaceae plant.

The hotel served both local and international  cuisines. I  guess the only thing they don’ t have  in their  menu is pork meat. What I love most are the many vegetable salads they serve during buffet dinner.  I just forgot the name of the hotel where we had an overnight in  Sarimsakli, Ayvalik.  I also tasted  Simit,  a circular bread with sesame seeds, commonly serve during breakfast in Turkey.  Our tour guide also recommend  to taste Pide, a broad, round and flat bread made of wheat flour. It taste good. There were a lot of foods I tasted in Turkey but I just forgot the names of the other ones.
